Class Descriptions

Most of our classes are for all levels of experience, and modifications based on personal needs can usually be arranged.

Please join Danny every Thursday evening from 6:00 - 6:45pm for a donation-based class dedicated to healing for PTSD through Mindfulness Mediation, using the 11th Step.

The 11th Step: We sought through prayer and meditation to improve our conscious contact with God as we understood Him, praying only for knowledge of His will for us and the power to carry that out.

Danny is 66 years old and a recovering addict with 29 years clean. He is a combat Vietnam Veteran who served proudly in the United States Marine Corps from 1968 to 1970 with 13 of those months in Southeast Asia. He suffers from PTSD and fought this demon for more than 40 years. Over these years fighting PTSD he has tried counseling, psychiatry, and hypnoses which have helped to some degree. Then about 4 1/2 years ago he started a practice of meditation which changed his life. At first he was skeptical, wondering how by just closing one's eyes and breathing, that this could help. When asked, he will tell you that meditating takes him to a different world where he can let go of the lies the ego tells him so he can find his true spirit. Like anything else, this takes practice and doesn't happen overnight. Danny is now taking the meditation course Palouse Mindfulness, a mindfulness-based stress reduction course to further his journey in learning and getting his certificate.

Through conscious breathing, dynamic movement, rhythm and sound, this practice opens the flow of vital energy and tunes your entire system. Involves standing exercises and lying down.
Kundalini Yoga is for everyone, meaning it's for people with jobs, families, relationships, homes, cars, creative practices...aka real people. It's known as the yoga of awareness and has been around for over 5,000 years. Kundalini is short for "high on your own supply", and gives students access to a fast and effective way to clear the mind, energize the body, and uplift the spirit. Ultimately, humans are wired to be happy and Kundalini Yoga, as taught by Yogi Bhajan, is a system to uncover your innate wisdom, innocence and contentment. Everything operates on a vibrational resonance and frequency. Through the practice of Kundalini Yoga, students begin to generate a more heightened vibrational experience both internally and externally. To sustain this experience, we add the healing sound of the gong. The benefits of gong baths include:

Kundalini yoga, as taught by Yogi Bhajan, is a dynamic, beautiful and complete practice. It is known as “the yoga of awareness” and the aim of Kundalini yoga is to awaken the coiled energy (Kundalini) that resides at the base of the spine, bringing the energy through the 6 chakras (energy centers) all the way through the crown (7th chakra). The raising of the energy is done in each class through Pranayama (breath), Mudra (hand positions to activate energy points and direct the breath through the body), Mantra (using the language of Gurmukhi, the tongue hits the palette of the mouth activating energy points to stimulate specific brain function), Kriya (yoga poses/postures), Meditation and Gong (sound-healing therapy). The aim of Kundalini yoga is for one to access their spiritual potential by speaking truth, upholding values, and direct consciousness through compassion to uplift, serve and heal humanity.

Kundalini yoga, known as the yoga of awareness, is a fast and effective way to clear the mind, energize the body, and uplift the spirit. Students see and feel the results quickly, feeling energized, relaxed, and uplifted after each class.

Whether you are a novice seeking guidance on how to start your meditation and mindfulness practice or a seasoned meditator wanting to take your practice to a deeper level, this class is for YOU!
Each week Jere Friedman, Certified Meditation and Mindfulness Instructor, will weave together teachings, Q&A, group discussions and sharing, and actual experience with a variety of ancient and modern meditation and mindfulness practices and techniques.

This class will allow you to meditate for longer periods of time in stillness. This class contains a variety of guided meditations, and a time for sharing of experiences during group discussion. During this meditation, you will be able to create a union between the body and soul using mindfulness, awareness of breath, and bringing awareness into the body.
Meditation is a simple way to know this potential in you. The soul is the embodiment of power, wisdom and love. As you clear emotion and create silence in your mind, there is a definite feeling of oneness with everything that is experienced. Kindness, compassion, and peace radiate out from you to all around you.
When limiting beliefs are cleared, the body heals, the story disappears, and life becomes smoother.

Meditation – Presence with Pain

This sitting group focuses on bringing presence and compassion to one’s reality – whether that involve a current life challenge, chronic physical pain, or simply mindful awareness of the body. The principles of insight meditation and lovingkindness will be used to specifically target current challenges. Through curious and compassionate presence we notice that things are ever-changing both within and around us.

This group will also touch on the latest scientific evidence supporting for the use of mindfulness to reduce the subjective experience of pain and bring a heightened sense of well-being to daily life.


Profound Sound, a 45-minute sound meditation

Join Jeanene Farley for this soundsational meditation experience! You will be reclined in total comfort and gently guided into deep relaxation with the grounding tones of the Symphonic Gong. This will be followed by the soothing, higher vibrations and tones of the Crystal Bowls. Truly a “cellular massage” for the internal, energetics of the body. You will leave feeling lighter and refreshed!
Luxurious floor postures generously supported by blankets, bolsters and other props to allow slow, delicious releases of deeply stored tensions.
60 minute relaxing yoga class, using props to support the body to allow gentle stretching of the fascia and connective tissue. Restorative and yin seated postures, combined with meditation, optional essential oils, and crystal singing bowls to provide a total healing experience. All levels welcome!
These two ancient modalities involve slow, mindful movement as a form of meditation and healing. All levels welcome.
Detailed Class Description:
Gentle warm-up: addressing flexibility, balance, coordination and range of motion.

Static Five Methods of Qigong: which focuses on fostering participants’ awareness of Qi (internal energy) through slow, continuous breathing and meditation.

Dynamic Qigong is designed to further discover and empower the body’s natural defense mechanisms. Students learn to differentiate between yin and yang, full and empty, weight and no weight dynamics.

The “Tai Chi Meditative Step” clarifies the diversity of yin and yang by coordinating footwork and activity with a chi ball.

The well structured, yet simple to acquire, “Tai Chi Kitchen Form” is next in this progression.

This program concludes with “8 pieces of silk brocade Qi Gong”, which is a balanced, invigorating mixture of yin and yang movements.

A gentle combination of meditation, mindful movement and self-healing.  Perfect for beginners - all levels welcome!
Gentle movement followed by luxurious floor postures generously supported by blankets, bolsters and other props to allow slow, delicious releases of deeply stored tensions.
The use of various tools such as postures, breathing, sound, and meditation in the practice and purpose of yoga: stilling the mind in order to become more conscious. Involves standing, sitting and lying on the floor.
Warm up your body with a basic one hour yoga practice and then ease into a 30 minute zen practice that will restore the body and mind.
A profoundly relaxing experience with gong or crystal bowl sound healing, and yoga nidra.  Yoga Nidra is a sleep-based meditation done lying on the floor, supported with gentle props.  A series of breath, body, and awareness techniques combined with intention-setting, are designed to bring the body and mind into a deeply subtle state of being.  45 minutes of Yoga Nidra is as restorative as three hours of sleep!
