Heidi Parrow

Heidi has served in the Scottsdale community for over 40 years. She worked for the Scottsdale Police Department 1985-2011, retiring at the rank of sergeant working for many years in the training division. After retirement, she went to Bikram training in LA in 2012. She has taught Bikram at over 15 studios throughout the southwest including Mesa, Gilbert, Chandler, Tempe, Scottsdale, Phoenix, Flagstaff and Albuquerque. In 2014 she returned to school furthering her education at the Southwest Institute of Healing Arts earning her 600 hour certificate in advanced yoga and aromatherapy specializing in YIN, Restorative Yoga with Crystal Bowls and Sound Healing. Heidi started her own company Heidi's Holistic Healing, LLC, giving back to those that have served as first responders and the military. She holds ERYT200, RYT500 hour certificates through Yoga Alliance.


Heidi Parrow instructs the following:
  • Meditation Express
  • A 30-minute beginning meditation class held in a candlelit room with essential oils and peaceful background music.
     
    Focus is on breath awareness, body awareness, and releasing stressful mental patterns.

  • Yin/Restorative plus Meditation & Sound
  • Gentle movement followed by luxurious floor postures generously supported by blankets, bolsters and other props to allow slow, delicious releases of deeply stored tensions.

  • Gentle Movement + Sound Healing
  • The use of various tools such as postures, breathing, sound, and meditation in the practice and purpose of yoga: stilling the mind in order to become more conscious. Involves standing, sitting and lying on the floor.  Enjoy the added benefit of vibrational sound healing through the use of crystal bowls!

    A New Years Day Gentle Yoga + Yoga Nidra class with Heidi Parrow

    Samskara: the concept of imprints or impressions left in the mind through experience.

    During this class consisting of gentle stretching and Yoga Nidra, we will review how those negative thought patterns keep us stuck in cycles of detrimental daily habits and routines. We will begin the process of changing muscle memory and creating new Samskaras to move forward in 2019.

    New Years Day, 2-3:15, love donation, advance registration required.
