Katherine is certified to lead group or private sessions in both Qigong and Tai Chi including the practice areas of ~ meditation, mindfulness, affirmation, visualization, guided imagery, deep relaxation, progressive relaxation, breathing practices and gentle movement.

Sessions are designed to facilitate and engage the relaxation response, thereby maximizing benefits to body, mind and spirit. Qigong practices are rooted in the Chinese Medical Style also known as Healing Qigong. Tai Chi practices are rooted in the simplified, non-lineage format of traditional Tai Chi and performed in Single Form or Temple Style. This style embraces the repetition of movements (rather than sequential movements as performed in short and long form traditions) as an enhanced pathway to cultivating the awareness and flow of Qi / Chi ~ that healing, living energy that exists within us all.

Katherine is truly grateful that some of her best moments in life are spent in the company of her (undoubtedly fully enlightened) canine companion, Bodhi…she also thinks strands of little white lights make everything better…they just do.

  • Please join Danny every Thursday evening from 6:00 - 6:45pm for a donation-based class dedicated to healing for PTSD through Mindfulness Mediation, using the 11th Step.

    The 11th Step: We sought through prayer and meditation to improve our conscious contact with God as we understood Him, praying only for knowledge of His will for us and the power to carry that out.

    Danny is 66 years old and a recovering addict with 29 years clean. He is a combat Vietnam Veteran who served proudly in the United States Marine Corps from 1968 to 1970 with 13 of those months in Southeast Asia. He suffers from PTSD and fought this demon for more than 40 years. Over these years fighting PTSD he has tried counseling, psychiatry, and hypnoses which have helped to some degree. Then about 4 1/2 years ago he started a practice of meditation which changed his life. At first he was skeptical, wondering how by just closing one's eyes and breathing, that this could help. When asked, he will tell you that meditating takes him to a different world where he can let go of the lies the ego tells him so he can find his true spirit. Like anything else, this takes practice and doesn't happen overnight. Danny is now taking the meditation course Palouse Mindfulness, a mindfulness-based stress reduction course to further his journey in learning and getting his certificate.
