Jennifer Martin

Jennifer is a certified Life Coach specializing in women’s health and wellness. She is a graduate of Jon Kabat-Zinn’s Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction program and has been passionate about mindfulness for over fourteen years. After experiencing life altering benefits from her own personal mindfulness practice, Jennifer began teaching mindfulness meditation so that others could also learn to experience the benefits in their own lives.

Jennifer grew up in Fairfield, Connecticut and moved to Arizona seven years ago with her husband, their two teenage daughters, and their two miniature dachshunds.

  • A 30-minute beginning meditation class held in a candlelit room with essential oils and peaceful background music.
     
    Focus is on breath awareness, body awareness, and releasing stressful mental patterns.

    Mindfulness is the gentle effort to be present in every moment.
    This time-proven practice provides a wealth of benefits related to health, relationships, work and every aspect of life.

    Join us on a four-week journey practicing mindfulness to minimize the
    effects of stress and maximize our capacity for happiness. Learn how to develop and maintaining a personal practice and apply it to your daily, moment-by-moment life. No experience necessary. Just wear comfortable clothing and bring a journal or notebook.

    Week One: Understanding Mindfulness & Meditation

    Week Two: Attention and the brain

    Week Three: Our Relationship to Stress:  Reacting vs. Responding

    Week Four: Compassion for Self and Others

  • Journey Through Mindfulness Meditation Support Group

    If you are someone who wants to meditate regularly but sometimes find that it can be a challenge, you are not alone. Developing a consistent meditation practice is one of the hardest things to do. Whether you are new to meditation or have been practicing for years, the brain naturally resists being tamed and will rebel when we sometimes least expect it, making it even more challenging to stick with our practice. Our environment has a great effect on the state of our minds, so spending time with like-minded people, who are also striving to deepen their meditation practice, is a great way to feel encouraged and supported in your journey.

    I believe that when two or more are gathered together to connect and share their experiences with one another, incredible things can unfold. I am excited to be offering a Mindfulness Mediation Support group twice monthly for those looking to discuss the challenges and benefits they are experiencing in their practice in a safe, supportive and nurturing environment. Each time that we gather, we will have an open discussion period followed by a guided mediation with sound healing.

    This group is designed to help each of us create and deepen pathways in the mind that will strengthen our determination and willpower to practice regularly. The more committed we are, the more we move from fighting the impulse to mediate to looking forward to our practice and then eventually we start to feel disappointed if our meditation time gets hijacked by something else.

  • A Deeper Understanding of Mindfulness
  • Join us on a four-week journey to deepen your understanding of mindfulness. This is a wonderful opportunity for all those looking to
    expand their mindfulness practice as well as for anyone wanting to be more consistent in their practice. A Deeper Understanding of Mindfulness is also a great follow-up course for everyone who has previously taken the
    four-week Introduction to Mindfulness series.

    We will be exploring different aspects of Mindfulness with one another in a safe, supportive and nurturing environment. Please wear comfortable clothing and bring a journal or notebook.

    The Brain and Mindful Movement

    Week Three:
    Dealing with Conflict and Difficult Emotions
